孩子的学校做了一个SAT class 的servey，下面是家长的反映，汇总在此，方便海外文轩的读者。

a summer session during the summer vacation BEFOREJunior year (classes meet at a hotel in Cupertino, off Miller/Homestead), and then did the refresher Sunday classes up in Fremont at the Excel offices for a few Sundays before the SAT test in October (included in the price for the class). benefited greatly from the classes and I highly recommend them, based on experience. It was worth the investment (and I was pretty skeptical, I have to admit). The classes really paid off and it was worth driving to Fremont for the refresher as well. didn't have extensive standardized testing experience, since chose to mostly opt out of STAR testing, also in middle school and high school, and it helpedget score up quite a bit, plus helpedget familiar with this type of test.

The schedule of doing the main session during vacation worked really well. Junior year is extremely busy for the students, and it was such a relief to have taken the class already during the summer and get the SAT test out of the way in October.

took 6 weeks SAT math/verbal/essay course with Flex (they are on De Anza Blvd across from Home Depot). I was extremely happy with results. It was 6 weeks and teachers were very good. Flex structures it differently for the coming summer and teachers might be different. did very well on SAT in Oct and on PSAT.

Now taking SAT II Math and the teacher is not so good so I guess it all depends on the teacher.

By the way, I researched all places and found out this place as best.

3.I looked into several SAT courses out there. Kaplan, Princeton Review, private tutors, and summer programs through the school. I signed up for Kaplan because they had flexible schedules, a guarantee that kids improve, SAT and ACT prep, a variety of online tools and the price was reasonable. I also had take some sessions with a private tutor and summer classes offered by the school district. I was not impressed with Kaplan but it did help because attending the classes became a commitment and she had to set time aside for the assignments and taking the practice tests. The private tutor also helped but what I realized is that the child needs to really be focused and structured on their own else the score won't change significantly. Also, I signed up for sequential Kaplan classes thinking that having different instructors would help but it seemed like they all have the same techniques and present it in the same way. Kaplan instructors a usually college students that did well on the SAT. Also I did not find the online tools very useful. They do notify you of various things you should do with respect to the college application time line but I found them cumbersome to use. It was better than not taking a course but I can't say I was really impressed. If you do sign up, you have to plan which sessions your child will take in what order between SAT and ACT because they alternate and are offered prior to each test date.4

4.My niece just took the SAT Bootcamp from Catalyst Prep this weekend and thought it was helpful.

My kids took Kaplan prep course (in Palo Alto); they said it was helful in somewhat, not great. When they took SAT and did not get high scores, I called Kaplan and they allowed us to repeat course for free; kids did better second time. However, my kids did better on ACT, not SAT.

6.Try Nancy Kim (McA parent) at Creekside Enrichment (Stevens Creek/ Julie Ave), she is VERY good.

再补充三个：

1，Elite Prep -- 有个2100冲刺班还不错。

2，ShinShin -- 英语和数学分开的，师资也还行。

3，江于应教授的SAT英语提高班--- SJSU教授，此人挺厉害，每年阅SAT卷子，总结重点和技巧，可以让writing提高200分。

好了，我好像在给他做广告，爱谁谁，我不认识他，只是补充。
