Martha's Porto Tawny

Tawny Port wine is obtained by various methods of aging in oak barrels. The aging process is slightly faster than Ruby. Because the oxidation process, the color of port wine is acquired slowly, initially slightly orange hues and advancement while reaching the dark golden amber shades.
With an average age of 5-6 years old of which 4-5 years aging in oak barrels this wine is very elegant and delicate. It is produced from base wine from the following grapes varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Amarela and Tinto Cão. Is produced in stainless steel cells and the pellicular maceration was relatively short. Fermentation was stopped by adding grape brandy (aguardente). This Tawny Port color is magnificent. Essentially bouquet is wrapped in nuts and dried fruit flavors, slightly influenced by wood barrel where aging (4-5 years), all characteristics of the irreversible oxidation process. Serve as an aperitif or accompanying sweets and dessert - the perfect partner for serving fruit pie.
