A letter to the Storm
Storm,
I see you coming,
Threaten me with your deadly roar,
I will not turn around and start running,
Peace and courage are my allies
You may break my bones,
Strip me naked to my bare skin,
I will not be ashamed,
I see who I really am
You may step on my pride,
Crush my dreams with your brutal jokes,
Humility will become my friend,
Perseverance will be my guard
You may tread on my tender spots,
Watch my bleeding heart with your blind eyes,
I will have faith in healing
And the hope to love again
You may swallow my spirit,
Haunt my falling tears with your scornful laughs,
I will not cry,
But laugh with you, blissfully day and night
You may drown my soul,
Amplify my failing attempts with your mocking words,
I promise you,
I will keep trying till the sunrise again
You may baffle my mind,
Knock me down with your misty lies,
I vow,
I will not give in,
Because you will pass,
Rainbow has never left me,
Sun is always there, shining…
